The original 2002 community notice board was constructed in the shape of an aerial view of the old floating bridge that used to cross the river from Woolston to town.

Due to deterioration of the timber and glass components, it was removed and replaced in October 2012.

The new construction comprises a stainless steel backing wall on which are mounted blue powder coated metal notice board frames with light grey pinboards and polished stainless steel plaques.

The reference to the shape of the floating bridge is retained in the new design.
