The wall behind the raised sky garden is called the Spitfire wall, with the wing shape commemorating the vital contribution to the Second World War of this famous aircraft, the local Supermarine factory (now the site of Spitfire Quay and Spitfire Court) and particularly the plane’s designer, R.J. Mitchell. The construction is the same as the Triton wall.
