A project team was formed to carry the idea forward, comprising Neville & Sonia Robbins, Bronte Matthews, Barry & Maureen Wake, Peter & Elizabeth Cleverley, Colin Sampson and Elizabeth Smith.

Their first task was to interview a short list of potential design artists for the garden.

Pete Codling from Portsmouth was selected as the best applicant, based upon his previous work and innovative ideas.
