WOOLSTON
Logon
Advertising boards were removed, the site was cleared and a perimeter hoarding erected, which bore large pictures created by local school children, depicting the heritage of Woolston. These pictures were in place for the whole construction period and remained vandal free.

Massive excavations were required to remove tonnes of concrete buried in the ground, where the long gone Bank premises had stood.

A highlight of the construction process was the delivery and installation of the giant feather sculpture just before completion of the garden.

All work was carried out by specialist subcontractors under the direction of the building committee, with the design artist acting as site manager.
