A smaller building committee was formed within the project team, to see the garden through to construction.
This committee comprised Neville & Sonia Robbins, Barry & Maureen Wake, Peter Cleverley, Colin Sampson and Elizabeth Smith. Additional technical advice was provided by Phil Moss.

Fundraising activities began, requiring an enormous amount of work, involving drawings, letters of support, project descriptions, maintenance plans and budget estimates.

The Artist’s design for the garden was presented at Woolston Community Association’s Millennium summer festival, at the Woolston Community Centre.
